Upcycling & Asheville’s Fashion Design Scene At It’s Finest
Reclaim the Cosmos is a sci-fi cosplay fashion show organized by Jen Hampton and Reclaim Events highlighting the upcycling and fashion design scene in the Asheville, NC area. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be used to benefit an Asheville area rent assistance fund for the Asheville Area Tenants Union (https://nctenantsunion.org/aatu). We are working together with some amazing local collaborators such as The Closetorium (https://theclosetorium.com/), Remanats Thrift and Sew (https://www.instagram.com/remnants.thrift.sew/), Asheville Tool Library (https://ashevilletoollibrary.org/), and Morgan’s Comics (https://www.morganscomics.com/). A variety of local designers and performers will showcase upcycled fashion designs inspired by the designers’ favorite sci-fi universes. Local DJ Jim Nastix (https://www.jimnastix.com/) will be curating the music and will be DJing the out of this world party after the show. Reclaim our fashion, reclaim the dance floor and reclaim the cosmos!
